Though traditionally block printing has been applied to cotton voile or cambric base fabric, we worked closely with our Rajasthani wood block printing workshop to perfect the technique of printing on knitted organic jersey fabrics, bringing a handmade, artisanal element to this increasingly essential staple of the modern wardrobe: the t-shirt. All wood block prints are made using natural vegetable dyes developed over centuries of practice. Similarly, the tie-dyed shirts pictured below were made using natural Indigo dye, and each piece is unique.
